“We advise fans to maintain a peaceful atmosphere. The Military Police are carrying out policing inside the stadium, around the stadium, at the bus terminals and throughout the city of Curitiba. We are prepared to patrol the main roads to ensure safety of the fans and the entire population”, explains Major Fabio Bonifácio Ferreira, deputy commander of the PM’s Shock Police Battalion (BPCHOQUE).
The major advised that fans of both teams who need public transport should use it at two different times. Until 3pm, transport must be used by Athletico fans. From 3:30 pm, by Alviverde fans.
Athletico fans will also have buses, which will leave from the surroundings of the Ligga Arena, escorted by the PM to Couto. The schedules will still be announced by Fanático. The ticket load for visitors is 1600 seats, with prices of R$150 (full) and R$75 (half).
The meeting also defined that, from 3:30 pm on the day of the game, blocking will be done in Amâncio Moro, Mauá, Floriano Essenfelder and Barão de Guaraúna streets. Only residents will be able to drive their cars through the roadblocks.
Coritiba fans barred
The major reinforced the ban on 1,775 Coritiba fans from entering Couto Pereira. Fans have been prevented from entering the stadium for a year due to the fight in Vila Capanema, in November last year, in the game against Cruzeiro.
“Fans associated with Império Alviverde and Dragões Alviverde will not be allowed to enter Couto Pereira, as determined by the court. It will not be permitted to use any object or clothing that alludes to these fans in the immediate vicinity of the stadium,” said the police officer.
Império Alviverde awaits the definitive analysis of the appeal and requested a new analysis of the decision of judge Maria Aparecida Blanco de Lima, who maintained the ban. To date, however, fans remain unable to attend the venue.
