Public education system is reaching the final phase of the dates scheduled in the Enrollment Calendar

Manaus (AM) – The registration period for new students in the public education network begins this Wednesday (17). The vacancy reservation process can be carried out online, through the website www.matrículos.am.gov.br. The deadline ends next Friday (19). To complete the enrollment process, parents or guardians must submit documents to the chosen educational unit within three working days.

The dates for enrolling new students continue the “2024 Enrollment Calendar” initiated with the process of automatic re-enrollment of students who studied in the Amazonas public network in 2023; followed by reordering and transfers. If documents are not submitted, the candidate loses the vacancy, which is sent back to the system.

According to the Enrollment Manager at the Department of Education, Ireland Araújo, the public education network is reaching the final phase of the dates scheduled in the Enrollment Calendar.

“We have been carrying out all the registration procedures since last year. After the service aimed at new students, the public education network sets a deadline for assistance to late students, for those cases that, for some reason, were unable to register the student within the stipulated period”,

explained Ireland Araújo.

EJA

In addition to regular education, the Department of Education will offer, for the year 2024, places for Youth and Adult Education (EJA), in the capital and interior. The registration period for new students also starts this Wednesday (17).

Since 2021, the EJA structure in Amazonas has undergone reformulation. The school year, which lasted 12 months, now lasts one semester (six months).
