Pedagogical Journey debates improvements in learning for students in Manaus

Manaus (AM) – The Municipal Department of Education of Manaus (Semed) held the Pedagogical Journey 2024 on Tuesday (30), at the Aníbal Bessa Arts Center, São José III. The meeting brought together 73 managers from school units in East Zone 1, advisors and community representatives, in an immersion that combined the experiences of parents, managers, community members and school employees.

With the aim of improving the quality of student learning, eliminating school dropouts, making the school environment more welcoming, the head of the East 1 division, Maria das Graças Maciel, described the intention of unifying and aligning actions, collecting experiences in all sectors to enable quality pedagogical education.

“Last year, schools located in our coverage area achieved 99% student approval, we came first in Semed. Furthermore, the school dropout rate was just 0.7%. We believe we can move forward. Therefore, we are joining forces to improve our performance in the classroom and thus contribute to the broad physical and intellectual development of students”,

highlighted.

During the day, teaching and management actions were discussed to improve student learning.

“We aligned actions planned by Semed departments to optimize students’ learning performance for this year and took advantage of all the experience of teachers, managers and, mainly, the participation of parents, which should be a constant throughout the year”,

said Maria das Graças.

Actions

The actions discussed by the Pedagogical Journey 2024 working group include several areas of knowledge. In the pedagogical area, Educa+ was mentioned, which will work on didactic sequences as prior preparation for 2025 with 4 and 8 year old classes.

In early childhood education, programs such as Aprendi + will be highlighted. “This program aims to enhance the pedagogical work developed with preschool children, knowledge and practices between families and schools”, explained Maria das Graças.

In the area of ​​special education management, the role of mediators to monitor external activities was discussed, as well as programs such as the PEE (Essential Stimulation Program) and the PEA (Learning Stimulation Program).

“In elementary 1 and 2, performance assessments will be applied as well as the continuity of the Mathematics Viva program for all years of these classes. In infrastructure, the schedule for monitoring maintenance, repairs and cleaning of buildings was presented, as well as verification of heritage listing”,
