The deadline for those interested in participating in the Prouni (University for All Program) selection process for the first semester of 2024 to register will be extended by one day. Registration will close at 11:59 pm (Brasília time) this Friday (2) via the MEC’s Single Access Portal.
The Ministry of Education program grants scholarships to private universities.
In total, 406,428 scholarships are offered, 308,977 full (100%) and 97,451 partial (50%), distributed across 15,482 courses from 1,028 participating institutions.
To register for free, the participant must register with the federal government’s single login and create an account on gov.br. The results will be available on February 6th (first call) and February 27th (second call).
To participate in Prouni, you must have taken at least one of the last two editions of Enem (National High School Exam) and have achieved at least 450 points on average in the grades of the five tests of the exam.
The student also cannot have scored a zero on the Enem writing test, nor have he participated in the exam as a trainer.
On the morning of this Wednesday (31), the Minister of Education, Camilo Santana, stated that the ministry was considering extending the registration deadline for Prouni by one day due to the delay in publishing the 2024 results of Sisu (Selection System Unified), released in the afternoon.
The publication of the first list of those approved at federal universities in the country was scheduled for Tuesday (30), but was postponed due to technical problems in the system, according to the ministry.
Despite giving access to different universities, registrations at Sisu and Prouni are interconnected. According to the MEC, candidates registered with Sisu can register with Prouni. However, if you are selected by both, you have to choose one of the two programs.
