The long-awaited Proposal for Amendment to the Constitution nº 07 was approved in the Federal Senate, this Tuesday (12). Senator Randolfe Rodrigues, author of the proposal, celebrated the important moment for the people of Amapá, together with Senator Davi Alcolumbre, alternate Josiel Alcolumbre, Senator Lucas Barreto, and state governor Clécio Luís. The vote was also part of the celebration program to the 80th anniversary of the creation of the former Territory of Amapá.

PEC 07 extends the transposition to the Union framework of civil servants who had a connection with the public service until 1998, from the former Territories of Amapá and Roraima. Now, after approval in the Federal Senate, the text goes to a vote in the Federal Chamber.

Randolfe Rodrigues, who has worked intensely to advance the Transposition of the people of Amapá to the Union, spoke about the victory of this stage. “Since PEC 07 was approved by the Constitution and Justice Committee, chaired by Senator Davi, we worked hard to ensure that it was also approved here in the Senate, and today we won this battle. We are ensuring the repressed and historic right to transposition for 35 thousand people from Amapá!”, celebrated the senator.

Senator Davi Alcolumbre highlighted that the approval of PEC 07 is justice to the civil servants who served and helped build Amapá. “We are here equating the rights of civil servants in Amapá and Roraima, the same achievement as the former Territory of Rondônia. We thank all the senators who voted in favor of our people and understood the historical importance of this day.”, highlighted Davi Alcolumbre.

Cleobernaldo Ribeiro Leite, who is a public servant from Amapá, insisted on being present at the vote in the Senate. “After Constitutional Amendment 98, PEC 07 will achieve the full rights of civil servants in the former Territories. Congratulations to Senator Randolfe Rodrigues, author of the proposal, for this great victory!” said Leite.
