‘O Teatro Vai à Escola’ project starts new season in Manaus

In 2024, five shows are part of the project
Manaus (AM) – The project “O Teatro Vai à Escola”, developed by Cia de Artes Evolucion, began this Friday (8). The first educational institution to receive the Company was the Escola Estadual de Ensino Fundamental Maria de Nazaré, located in the Jardim Eldorado neighborhood, South Zone of Manaus.
The project, which has been taking place since 2009, covers public and private schools, with theatrical performances. In the year 2024, five shows are part of the project: As Aventuras de Vô Capistan, Festa dos Meus Sonhos, Cantigadeira, Quem Queima Se Queima and É Crime Não Saber Ler. These are shows for children and adults.
This Friday, Cia Evolucion started the 2024 season, with Grandpa’s Adventures Capistana. In the EEEF Maria de Nazaré auditorium, three sessions of the show were held, at 8:45 am, 10 am and 3 pm.
The play, designed and created by Eules Lycaon, was presented to teachers and students from the 5th to the 9th, including students from the morning and afternoon shifts.
The students had fun with the stories told by the character Vô Capistana. Student Isabele Pereira, from Year 6, says she enjoyed the show.
“I really enjoyed the show, I thought it was very funny, entertaining and I learned some stories that I didn’t know, such as the legend of the pirarucu. I also learned a lot about the history of the rubber tapper.”
The next school will be the Guadalupe Municipal School of Early Childhood and Elementary Education, which is already preparing to welcome Cia Evolucion, on the 26th.
Synopsis of the show
As Aventuras de Vô Capistana is a story-telling show that addresses the reality, myths and legends of the Amazon, through the narrative of a typical character from Rondônia, who we know as a rubber tapper. This work presents facts narrated by Vô Capistana, a man who dedicated his life to the rubber plantation.
