Neymar will undergo surgery, in a statement released by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) on Wednesday afternoon (18), it was reported that the number 10 ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus in his left knee. The minimum expected recovery time for similar injuries is six months.
The player’s injury occurred during Brazil’s game against Uruguay on Tuesday night (17), at the Centenário Stadium, in Montevideo. The striker suffered a sprain at the end of the first half of Brazil’s 2-0 defeat to Uruguay and was substituted in the 48th minute.
