Mayors and Health Secretaries of the 16 municipalities in the state met with the Government of Amapá this Friday (26) to receive state resources totaling R$ 2.7 million. The value will be distributed to municipalities according to the population index and serves to help control the outbreak of respiratory syndromes.
“It is a resource for the 16 municipalities, so that they can reinforce their work where primary health care takes place. Vaccination, for example, is basic care, and together we proved that it is possible to overcome any obstacle”assured the governor of Amapá, Clecio Louis.
From the metropolitan region, Macapá will receive more than R$900,000, while Santana will receive approximately R$330,000, and Mazagão, more than R$143,000. Each municipality can define how it intends to use the resource in combating the outbreak.
At the event, the governor reported that the vaccination coverage rate in Amapá has grown.
“On the 13th, when we declared a public health emergency, the average vaccination coverage rate was 16%. And now we have 59.71%, in 13 days of work. This is very good, as the low coverage was reflecting on people’s health, especially children”celebrated the governor.
