City Hall releases enrollment results for new day care centers in the municipal network

Manaus (AM) – The Municipality of Manaus, through the Municipal Department of Education (Semed), released, this Friday, 26, the result of the selection for registration in the three new nurseries that will be inaugurated in June and also for the vacancies made available in partnership with the Industry Social Service (Sesi). The Secretary of Education, Professor Dulce Almeida, said that announcing the list of children’s names for the new day care centers is a moment that everyone has been waiting for, and this is one of Mayor David Almeida’s commitments to the Manaus population.

“We worked really hard to make this moment happen. We obeyed all the criteria, which are no longer drawn by lot, and we are fulfilling with great satisfaction what was asked of us by the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the Public Defender’s Office and the Municipal Attorney General’s Office. We are fulfilling one of Mayor David’s campaign goals for early childhood education,” he commented.

In all, 1,380 children were covered, in nursery classes 1, 2 and 3, in the four teaching units. They are children from 1 to 3 years old, completed or to be completed by March 31 of the current year, residing in the municipality of Manaus.

Of these vacancies, 612 are for the municipal kindergartens Professora Libania Theodora Rodrigues Ferreira, on Rua Carlos Coutinho, Jardim Versalles complex, in Planalto, West zone; Dorothea de Souza Braga, on Rua Jazira, Cidadão V complex, Nova Cidade; and Caio Fábio D´Araújo, on Rua Lameque, Santa Tereza, Santa Etelvina, both in the North zone.

For the nursery manager Dorothéa, Daniela Medeiros, the entire faculty is looking forward to welcoming the children. “How happy it is to have one more day care center operating in Manaus and to be able to assist that family that needs to leave their child in a safe place in order to provide for their livelihood. All of us at the nursery are very anxious to receive these children and I am sure that we will make a big change in the lives of these little ones”, said Daniela

In addition to these own teaching units, 768 places are allocated to the Sesi unit, which entered into a partnership with the City of Manaus to offer places for early childhood education. The school is located at Avenida Governador Danilo de Matos Areosa, n° 1531, Industrial District 1.

“The entire Sesi team thanks Mayor David and Secretary Dulce for allowing us to collaborate with municipal public education. Our expectations are very high. Our spaces are prepared to receive all these children”, said the nursery manager, Sinthia Medeiros.

Criteria

For this procedure, the following criteria were established for the selection of vacancies: enrollment in CadÚnico; mother under protective measure; working mother and teen mother. In case of a tie in these criteria, four tiebreaking items were analyzed: lower per capita income within the CadÚnico classification, working mother or under protective measure, minor teenager and residential proximity of the candidate to the desired day care center or the work of the legal guardian.

As of next Monday, 5/29, the guardian who had the child’s name contemplated in the municipal day care centers must go to the teaching unit to carry out the enrollment, during business hours, from 7:30 am to 11 am and from 1 pm to 5 pm. The deadline is three days, that is until next Wednesday, 5/31, if you do not attend during this period, the vacancy will go to the next one on the list.

Parents or guardians who have registered for the Caio Fábio nursery, must present the documentation at the municipal school Professora Sarah Barroso Cordeiro, on Rua Samambaia, Santa Etelvina.

“It is very important that parents or guardians do not miss the deadline to enroll their child, and that they also bring all the documents. If they miss the deadline, the vacancy goes to the next child on the list”, said the Enrollment manager, Darlene Liberato.

As for the Sesi unit, they must attend on the following dates and times. Kindergarten classes 1, on Monday, 5/29, from 8 am to 3 pm; Kindergarten 2, Tuesday and Wednesday, 5/30 and 5/31, from 8am to 3pm; and kindergarten 3, Thursday and Friday, 6/1 and 6/2, from 8 am to 3 pm.

For pre-school, 1st and 2nd period (4 and 5 years), also at Sesi, 232 vacancies are offered. When registering, it is necessary to bring the printed letter, available on the website: www.matriculas.am.gov.br, during business hours.
