Messi’s eldest son will reinforce Inter Miami’s youth teams

The link between Lionel Messi and Inter Miami was reinforced this Monday (28). The US club announced the entry of Thiago Messieldest son of the Argentine star, in the youth team of Florida.

“Thiago Messi will join the Inter Miami academy. He has joined the under-12 team,” the club announced, discreetly, on social media. The post is accompanied by a video in which Thiago shows some of his skills on the field, in a casual moment, wearing the team’s shirt and wearing sneakers.

The news made netizens viralize another video starring the boy. During Lionel’s presentation at the American club, Thiago applied a “pen” on his father, who was walking distracted on the lawn, amid fireworks and ovation from the Inter Miami fans, in July.

Thiago, who will turn 11 in November, is Lionel’s eldest son. The Argentine idol has two more children: Mateo, seven years old, and Ciro, five. All are the result of Lionel’s marriage to Antonela Roccuzzo.

Messi announced his move to US soccer in June, surprising the soccer world. At the age of 36, the Argentine decided to dare in his career, in a market that was still not very popular and had little prestige in the sport. He claimed security and tranquility to live and play in the US, after a successful career, but with many charges and harassment in Europe.
