The Federal Police claims to have evidence that former councilor Marcello Siciliano, mentioned in the investigations into the murder of Marielle Franco (PSOL), was responsible for fulfilling Colonel Mauro Cid’s request to insert fraudulent data on his wife’s vaccination card.

The suspicion stems from dialogues between the former assistant to Jair Bolsonaro (PL) and the lawyer and former soldier Ailton Barros, appointed as the person responsible for intermediating the contact with Siciliano.

Cid and Barros were arrested this Wednesday (3) in Operation Venire, which investigates the insertion of false data on vaccination of Covid-19 in the Ministry of Health system between November 2021 and December 2022. seizure.

Ailton Barros was a candidate for state deputy for the PL-RJ and presented himself as “Bolsonaro’s 01”. He always had access to the former president at events in Rio de Janeiro, having even participated in a live of the then president, in July 2022.

According to the messages presented at the PF representation, Barros told Cid on November 30, 2021 that he opened three fronts to complete “that mission”.

“Because the business is really tough and nobody can be exposed, it’s not, particularly, particularly, who you know, right? You can’t stay. But it’s going well”, said Barros in audio, according to the PF.

By signaling that he found a way, according to the police analysis, to defraud the colonel’s wife’s vaccination card, Barros tells Cid that the person responsible for helping him is former councilor Marcello Siciliano.

“He’s a politician, you know, councilor here in Rio de Janeiro, he knows how to solve it, right? He is my strongest option to solve this issue of, of, of, of our friend, you know? And he didn’t solve it, what brother… So fucked up. But I truly believe he’s going to give us bingo.”

Siciliano was cited by military police officer Rodrigo Jorge Ferreira, Ferreirinha, as the mandate for the murder of Marielle in action that also led to the death of Anderson Gomes, the councilor’s driver.

The PM’s statement, however, was later pointed out by the PF as a plot to disrupt the investigation of the case. However, since then the name of the former councilor has remained on the radar of investigators.

By appointing Siciliano as the person responsible for solving the request, Barros asks Cid to arrange a meeting between the former councilor and the US consul in Rio de Janeiro.

According to the lawyer, in the message used by the PF, Siciliano has been encountering difficulties in renewing his US visa due to the mention of his name in the Marielle case.

Cid asks the retired military man to send him Siciliano’s contact and replies: “Leave it to me, Colonel. I’ll take a look and try to resolve it there.”

Barros replies: “I’ll pass it on to you. But it’s good that you’re going to put pressure on to solve my problem. I’ll solve it

When contacted, the US Embassy and the Consulate in Rio de Janeiro did not respond if Cid had contacted Siciliano.

In the conversation, Barros also claims to know who had the councilwoman killed.

The PF representation does not detail when Barros was summoned by Cid to allegedly defraud his wife’s vaccination card. Three days earlier, the lawyer attended a Bolsonaro event at the Parachute Infantry Brigade, in Rio de Janeiro.
