The midfielder Matheus Bianqui was a starter for Coritiba for the first time this season and stood out in the victory against Rooster Maringá, by 3 to 1, this Saturday (10), in Willie Davidsfor the eighth round of the Paraná Championship. The athlete scored again with the black and white shirt after 104 days and assisted on the first goal of the game.

“Very happy to return to this stadium where I was so well received. We came with the aim of returning with six points and we are taking them home. Happy to have scored a goal, provided an assist, but mainly for the victory. I’m looking for my space, I continue working regardless of whether I’m playing or not. Today I was able to start as a starter for the first time and show my value”, said the player to Radio Transamerica.

In the match, the midfielder penetrated the area a lot and played further forward, helping in the attack. In the first goal, Bianqui was the one who provided the assist and passed it to Éberth to open the scoring. Then, with the second goal, the midfielder appeared in the area, leaving the home defense behind, asked for the ball and received a perfect cross from Matheus Frizzo, filling the net.

Before this Saturday’s goal, the last time Bianqui had scored was in the 2023 Brasileirão, in the 4-3 victory against Internacional. This season, the midfielder received his first opportunity as a starter, previously he had already played in the victories against Cianorte and Operário.

On social media, Maringá joked about the athlete’s goal. Last season, Bianqui was on loan from Dogão to Coxa since April 2023. In December, Alviverde exercised the option to purchase the athlete.

With the victory, Coxa qualified for the second phase of Paranaense with three rounds in advance. The next match is at home, against Maringá, on Wednesday (14), at 8pm.
