A great-nephew of Minister Marina Silva (Environment and Climate Change) was murdered this Tuesday afternoon (6) in Rio Branco, Acre, by two men who broke into his house in the Taquari neighborhood. Cauã Nascimento Silva, 19, was in the room when he was hit by at least three shots.
At the end of the night, the minister lamented the violence in a post on social media. “With immense regret and pain I receive the news that my great-nephew Cauã Nascimento Silva, aged 19, was murdered,” she wrote.
Marina said that he was a victim of the crime that destroys the lives of young people in peripheral neighborhoods of the country. “May God sustain and comfort our family,” she concluded.
The minister received the solidarity of senator Randolfe Rodrigues (Rede Sustentabilidade-AP) and federal deputies Sâmia Bomfim (PSOL-SP) and Benedita da Silva (PT-RJ).
The DHPP (Homicide and Personal Protection Police Station) of Acre will investigate the case. According to witnesses, the men who shot Cauã fled on a motorcycle.
A week ago, the general delegate of the Civil Police of Acre, Henrique Maciel, and the director of the Capital and Interior Police Department, Pedro Paulo Buzolin, met with a team from the Judicial Police of the National Force to discuss strengthening the DHPP in the repression of homicides in Rio Branco.
