This Thursday (21) the management of the Milton de Souza Correa Stadium, Zerão, met with the Fire Department to discuss the reports that enable the venue to host local and national games (Copa do Brasil and Copa Verde).

The objective was to discuss updating the reports to guarantee the release of the stadium, making it possible to hold games with the public in the stands, especially for national competitions.

According to the director of Estádio Zerão, Jorginho Macapá, the meeting was extremely important to discuss, in advance, the site release reports. “The reports are up to date and we are going to ratify them again, so that they can be renewed and avoid the setback that we have every year, with games being held in other fields, when we have Zerão”, he said.

The Stadium was able to host state and national football and athletics competitions with the presence of the public in February, with Zerão’s maximum capacity being 4,984 thousand people.

Lieutenant Colonel Orielson, from the Fire Department, stated that this meeting was important to align and study the issues responsible for the body, as the action also has the support of several others.

“From the Fire Department’s point of view, we are evaluating the issue of fire and panic safety, fixed projects and preventive measures, the safety of the population in the stands and emergency exits”, explained.

The meeting marks the beginning of inspections and technical visits conducted by a team of engineers from the State Secretariat for Infrastructure (SEINF) and security teams.

In 2024, competitions begin in February with the Amapaense Men’s Football Championship Series A and the Copa do Brasil. In addition, there will be the Brazilian Série D, youth and amateur category tournaments and women’s professional championships.
