Lula government signs partnership with AM body to maintain Provita – 12/31/2023 – Panel

The Ministry of Human Rights and Citizenship and the Attorney General’s Office of Amazonas will invest R$10.7 million to maintain Provita (Protection Program for Victims and Threatened Witnesses) in the state region.
On Thursday (28), representatives of the two bodies signed a partnership agreement, which will last 36 months.
Created in 1999, Provita currently protects around 500 people, including witnesses and their families, and works in partnership with the states. There is already a partnership between the federal government and states in 16 units of the federation.
