President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) minimized this Thursday (25) the changes made by Congress in the structure of ministries. The portfolios impacted were Environment, by Marina Silva, and Indigenous Peoples, commanded by Sônia Guajajara. The representative stated that the episode is “a normal thing” and that now “the game has begun” in articulation with parliamentarians. The emptying of ministries generated criticism from Lula’s allies.

“I watch the news and the impression I have is that the world has ended: ‘Lula was defeated by Congress’, ‘this ministry is over, this ministry is over’. I went to read and what was happening was the most normal thing. Until then, we were sending the vision of government that we wanted. The commission, in the National Congress, decided to change, something that is almost impossible to change in the structure of government, which the government does. And now the game has begun. We are going to play, talk to Congress and manage what we need to do”, said the president while speaking at an event at the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo (Fiesp), in São Paulo.

The petista stressed that people should not be scared by politics. “Every time society is frightened by politics and starts blaming the political class, the result is infinitely worse… As bad as politics may be, it is in politics and with it that we have solutions to the big and small problems of this country”, he said. .
