The Federal Police concluded that Deputy André Fernandes (PL-CE), author of the January 8 CPI request, incited the coup attacks promoted in Brasília by supporters of Jair Bolsonaro (PL).

The imputation appears in a report sent by the PF to Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the STF (Federal Supreme Court). This Wednesday (24), Moraes asked the PGR (Attorney General’s Office) to comment on the accusation within a period of 15 days.

In the report, the police indicated posts by the parliamentarian on social networks whose content was considered criminal. On the eve of January 8, Fernandes stated that the “first act against the Lula government” would take place.

“We’ll be there!” reproduced the PF in the investigation report sent to Moraes. wanted by Sheetthe parliamentarian was not located.

Congress installed the commission this Thursday (25), formed by federal deputies and senators, and elected federal deputy Arthur Maia (União Brasil-BA) as president and senator Eliziane Gama (PSD-MA) as rapporteur.

With a majority in the CPI, President Lula’s (PT) allies want to stop the propagation of false theses about coup acts. That is, that the commission turns into victims the Bolsonaristas responsible for the acts.

On the date of the depredation of the headquarters of the three Powers, according to federal agents, the PL deputy from Ceará published “the image of the door of a vandalized cabinet, that same day, of the Federal Supreme Court, containing the inscription of the name of Minister Alexandre de Moraes, in which he inserted the following caption: ‘Whoever laughs will go to jail'”.

For the police, “it appears that he [Fernandes] was consistent with the depredation of public property practiced by the mob that was in Praça dos Três Poderes and gave it even more publicity (in view of the reach of its social networks), thus remaining demonstrated its real intention with that first post, which was to incite the above criminal practice”.

“It should also be noted that the sharing, by the investigated person, of the aforementioned images of destruction of public property contradicts his statement that on 01/08/2023, still during the attacks, he published on his Twitter account that he did not agree with the depredation of public property”, stated the PF.

Fernandes denied supporting the invasion and depredation of public buildings, including in a publication on social networks.
