Influencer denounces left-wing profiles after defamation and threat

Digital influencer Bárbara Destefani, from the channel I updated you, reported two social media profiles after being the victim of defamation and death threats. One of the profiles used a 2021 video to insinuate that the influencer was inciting the acts of 8/1 and another profile made serious threats against Bárbara’s life.

In the 2021 video, the influencer sings a military march, according to her, after being impressed by the performance of a sergeant who commanded the platoon. Days after Bárbara’s post, profiles began to use that publication as an incentive for peaceful demonstrations on September 7, 2021.

Wanted by People’s GazetteBárbara Destefani said she will take the case to the end in search of justice.

“It has been observed since the Mynd case exploded that left-wing profiles operate by choosing a target and encouraging the cancellation and assassination of reputation. This time, this page spread a lie with a fake video about me and in the post they called for the attack. In response to this video, another page promoted a death threat. This is intimidation. They want to scare people because they think the internet is their territory. With the absence of the Judiciary over the actions of the left, they feel shielded”, said Bárbara, guaranteeing that she will go “to the end” to hold the profiles responsible for the threats and defamation.

“I will no longer accept this kind of thing and in this case I will go to the last resort. This will stop, this will end as far as it depends on me”, he added.

The publications

This Monday (8), the profile of the social network X called Research and Analysis Elections (@pesquisas_elige) reposted Bárbara’s old video insinuating that the influencer’s performance was intended to “incite a coup d’état”, in reference to the acts of January 8, 2023.

It is worth remembering that this Monday (8), the Lula government (PT), the Federal Supreme Court (STF) and part of the National Congress held a “pro-democracy” ceremony in allusion to the one year anniversary of the 8/1 acts. Regional events were also carried out in some capitals by left-wing activists, however, with low popular support.

In a publication prior to the reproduction of Bárbara’s old video, the profile Research and Analysis Elections asks for help from followers to “engage” the subsequent post and asks for “competent authorities” to be tagged.

When commenting on the profile post, influencer Bárbara Destefani says she will sue the page Research and Analysis Elections.

After being reported, the profile published a statement defending its “freedom of expression”. Furthermore, the profile denied that it had insinuated that Bárbara’s video was published in the context of January 8, 2023.

“Where is the freedom of expression? Are you going to sue me? Furthermore, I did not say at any point that this video was current, but rather that she incited the coup acts shortly before 01/08, which is true, and that she sang an army song to encourage the military to give a Coup d’Etat, in September 2021, which I did not make explicit”, he explained.

A second page also with a left-wing profile commented on Bárbara’s publication with death threats to the influencer.

The profile In the Reporter’s Eye (@Brasilpost13_) called the influencer “disgusting” and said he would not be intimidated by her. He also threatened Bárbara: “Your followers won’t protect you for long. Lock the door tight, you filthy fascist.”

The same profile commented on the justification given by the page Research and Analysis Elections.

“It’s a shame that she (Bárbara) is so ignorant. Sooner or later this scammer will get what she deserves: A good grave”, wrote the profile.

Immediately, Bárbara exposed the threats: “The left announces that they are receiving death threats, but they never post proof. After a left-wing page encouraged attacks on me with lies, this is the reaction of the love crowd. Everything is saved in an archive and will be used in the process.”

The page @Brasilpost13_ is no longer active on the social network. The official profile page In the Reporter’s Eye is verified and differs from the address that threatened the influencer.

In a note published this Tuesday (9), the official page of In the Reporter’s Eye said he was being a victim of the “extreme right hate cabinet”.

“We never threaten anyone, we are for peace and we defend the democratic rule of law, but if they created this setup, which you don’t even need to be an expert to know is fake, it’s because we are bothering this criminal gang, where is our verified seal on the fraudulent print, cattle? ”, wrote the profile in a post on the social network by pointing out the differences between the official profile and the page that made the threats.

A People’s Gazette contacted the profile Na Mira do Repórter, but did not receive a response until the closing of this article. The newspaper was unable to contact the page Pesquisas e Análises Eleições, which has already made clear in its posts the anonymous nature of its administrators. The Gazeta remains open to any comments from both profiles on the case.
