The vice-president of the Parliamentary Front for Entrepreneurship in the Chamber, Deputy Joaquim Passarinho (PL-PA), said that the recent position of the Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddad, could unlock the administrative reform. The parliamentarian also emphasized that it is necessary to adopt more efficient mechanisms in the public service.

Haddad has avoided commenting on the hypothesis of the government supporting the administrative reform advocated by the mayor, Arthur Lira (PP-AL), but has pledged to “strongly” support the “PL of Supersalaries”, which is considered a breakthrough by the Deputy Joaquim Passarinho.

“It is an important position. I remember that at the end of the recess, the mayor, Arthur Lira, also took a favorable position for us to start a more specific discussion of administrative reform. years. On the Entrepreneurship front, administrative reform should precede tax reform, but that was not the path. Our idea is to support President Arthur’s decision and show that he is not alone. There is a desire in the House to make a administrative reform not against civil servants, but to have a modern State that prioritizes the quality of public spending”, said the deputy in an interview with Jornal da Manhã da Jovem Pan, this Wednesday (6).

The deputy also recalled that the current rules meet the demand for stability, but do not support more advanced resources such as, for example, Artificial Intelligence, which could be used, according to the parliamentarian, to modernize public administration.

“We need to understand that we need a certain stability, but we also need a more efficient mechanism, which speeds up more if we understand that the server is not providing its service”, said the deputy, citing cases in which servers took advantage of tricks , such as the indiscriminate use of medical certificates to justify absences on festive dates.

Last week, the administrative reform received the support of several parliamentary fronts in the Chamber and sectoral entities. The market also expects clearer signs of balance on the accounts.
