“My commitment is to open the CPMI at 9 am and then conduct the election of the president and vice president. But it is the president-elect who will indicate the name of the rapporteur, ”she said. He does not rule out the possibility of forming slates with candidates for this important vacancy reserved for the Senate. Until then, the name of Senator Eduardo Braga (MDB-AM) was the most quoted for the rapporteurship.

Senator Eduardo Girão (Novo-CE) revealed to the People’s Gazette the opposition’s fear of yet another government device to force the postponement of the commission’s debut. He promises to be the first registrant to demand the progress of the session. “I didn’t feel the supporters’ firmness in making the collegiate effective”, he said.

Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) also told the newspaper that he is following the movements closely and sees the chance of naming an independent profile rapporteur. As an alternate member of the CPMI, he stated that his role will be active in the political coordination of the opposition. “We are going ahead with this important work, of showing the truth of the facts”, he said.
