Former federal deputy Joice Hasselmann (without party-SP) is being accused of using the salary of a former advisor to pay for personal expenses, which ranged from car fuel to college and food for her daughter’s cats.

Juliana Christine Pereira Bejes was Joice’s advisor for a year and eight months. In that period, she says, she was left with only two salaries. The others, according to her, were handed over to the boss — including the daycare allowance. This would be equivalent to monthly transfers of R$ 13.5 thousand.

The former advisor also accuses Joice of moral harassment and claims that several times she left work crying for being called stupid, silly and incompetent.

She forwarded the complaint to the Federal Public Ministry of São Paulo and sent UOL invoices, credit card invoices and Pix extracts used to support her version.

Joice denied the accusations, in audios and videos sent to the report. She says that Juliana and her husband are thinkers who forged evidence to try to take money from her after the defeat in the 2022 elections and that she is going to court against the former advisor.

The former deputy admits, however, that she handed money to Juliana’s husband to pay his bills because he had part of his salary blocked because of a lawsuit involving the magazine ” Veja “.

Juliana supports the accusations and says that the mechanism for returning the salary was to pay the former parliamentarian’s private expenses. According to the former employee, the former deputy asked for a photo of the invoice to request reimbursement by the Chamber of Deputies.

The press office of the Federal Public Ministry confirms that it received Juliana’s documents. Prosecutors evaluate the content of the complaints to decide what measures to take.

In a WhatsApp message sent to Juliana’s husband, the former advisor is called “fdp” because she had not deposited the money expected by Joice. She passed on the audio report that shows how she was treated by Joice.

Juliana and her husband are from Curitiba and met Joice when she was living in the city. When there was an election for the Chamber, the couple was invited to fill two parliamentary advisory vacancies in São Paulo, Joice’s electoral base.

Juliana says that her appointment came out in April 2021. Her husband became a cabinet employee in June of the same year. As of that month, the former adviser says that she has returned all wages received. The couple and the baby survived only on Juliana’s husband’s salary, of R$ 12,600.

“Crachadinha” with reimbursement from the Chamber

An invoice in the Chamber’s parliamentary quota system shows that Joice was reimbursed for a supply in the city of São Paulo on August 30, 2021. The bill amounted to BRL 379.53. Juliana claims that it was her salary that paid for the expense.

She uses her credit card statement to support the accusation and draws attention to four points:

  • There is an expense on your card equal to Joyce’s supplies;
  • The expense occurred at the same post that appears in the note sent by the former deputy to the Chamber;
  • The date on the invoice is the same as the supply date;
  • The card used for payment is Visa, the operator used by Juliana.

The former adviser says that this is not an isolated case. She submitted other invoices, dated December 11 and 27, 2021. The expenses are also included in the Chamber’s reimbursement system and in Juliana’s credit card invoice. Again, values, dates and place of expenses coincide.

Juliana gave UOL proof of deposits referring to the college payment of the ex-boss’s daughter. She says that Joice and her ex-husband made an agreement to share the girl’s monthly fee. It would be up to Juliana to pay for the former deputy: R$ 5,315 per month.

Among the 16 transfer slips delivered by the former advisor, one stands out for its value: R$31,000. According to Juliana, the former deputy was not re-elected and, in November last year, she offered an agreement. The former employee would pay for six months of college for Joice’s daughter and could keep the salaries of the last three months.

Juliana says that she used R$31,000 from her financial reserve because the remaining salaries she would receive would total R$40,000.

It so happens that, as soon as the money fell into the account, Joyce signed her resignation.

“Right on the day of my son’s birthday party”, said Juliana, former employee of Joice, in accusation of “rachadinha”.

“She wanted to wear me in orange”

Among the orders she received from Joice, the former employee declared that she was forced to run for state deputy. She would do a double with the parliamentarian, who would try to be re-elected as federal deputy by the PSDB, the party to which she was affiliated at the time. But there was a problem with the documentation and PSDB membership was denied.

The former advisor has reproductions of conversations that show Joice’s revolt. According to Juliana, her intention was to use her female candidacy to get more money from the party fund and, with that, pay expenses for her own re-election campaign. “She wanted to wear me in orange,” she accuses.

Expenses of Joice’s daughter were also covered by her salary, accuses the former advisor. In a message on April 6 of last year, the girl informed Juliana’s husband that she had filled up with fuel and sent her an invoice for R$ 262.53.

In Juliana’s Pix statement, a transfer appears for the former deputy’s daughter on the same date and amount. There are also other proofs in favor of the university student. There are values up to R$750, including a deposit of R$200 that would have paid for the pet’s food.

The former adviser claims that she was also obliged to cover the boss’s husband’s expenses. To support the accusation, she presented a proof of Pix of R $ 814 for Joice’s husband made on May 4 of last year. Juliana says that she doesn’t even know what she used the money for, she just answered an order, without asking for an explanation.

Joyce’s apartment cleaning and laundry

The former adviser claims that she also received orders to clean Joice’s apartment. The former parliamentarian’s husband also sent messages to Juliana “to fix the flat”.

She says that she was forced to pick up Joice’s husband at the Campinas airport, do grocery shopping for the couple, take the car to a garage and even lend her the car while she was on foot. Another requirement was to hand wash Joyce’s clothes. The orders had detailed instructions.

Joice sent audio to UOL declaring that she never ordered Juliana to do housework. But the former deputy’s statements are different from the content of WhatsApp prints.

“Wash well with liquid coconut soap, soak for at least 2 hours, then rinse and hang without wringing”, said Joice in a message to Juliana about a shirt she was going to wear in a CNN appearance.

A WhatsApp conversation print reveals that on December 25, 2021 Juliana was called to clean Joice’s apartment. “Not even on the special date she gave truce”, she says. On Mother’s Day, Joice’s husband requested that he be taken to Viracopos airport.

Juliana says that she agreed to do the “split” because she had moved to another city, entered into a long-term lease and had a baby to raise. About the complaint, she alleges that she could no longer bear to live in this situation. For her, putting an end to what she called a “secret” was “a liberation”.
