Government of SP authorizes ‘private Ceasa’ at Ayrton Senna – 07/24/2023 – Panel

The governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), will authorize the creation of a food supply center on a plot of 753,000 square meters in the municipality of Itaquaquecetuba, on the banks of the Ayrton Senna highway, with the aim of alleviating the flow caused by Ceagesp.

The planned investment is around BRL 800 million with a forecast of four years for construction – once completed, the space should receive around 20,000 people a day and move 4 million tons of food a year. Resources for the works will come from the Mauá Capital real estate investment fund.

The project was assessed by technicians from the Secretariat for Partnerships in Investments and Agriculture and Supply, in consultation with Artesp (Transport Agency of the State of São Paulo).

The idea is that this is just the first project of its kind, and that others are created on the outskirts of the capital, to help sell local production and reduce traffic in the capital. The warehouse will serve producers from the regions of Alto Tietê, ABC, Greater São Paulo and the east zone of the capital,
