Tarcísio refuses invitations to discuss Brazil – 07/23/2023 – Mônica Bergamo

The governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), has decided that he will no longer participate in events and debates that discuss the situation in the country —and not specifically that of the state he commands.

According to his direct assistants, invitations are frequent. But Tarcísio does not want to give rise to speeches that he is debating Brazil because he is working to be a candidate for president of the Republic.

In the approval of the tax reform, the conflict was explicit when he went to meet Jair Bolsonaro at the headquarters of the PL, in Brasília.

The former president made his disagreement with Tarcísio clear by saying that he was against the proposal under discussion, while the governor defended its approval. Tarcísio ended up booed.

Days later, Bolsonaro told the column that he had already resumed with the former pupil, who was his minister.
