A Sheet promotes on Tuesday (3) the Transparency and Autonomy seminar of the Federal Public Ministry, which takes place from 3pm to 4:30pm in an online format.

Held in partnership with Transparency International, the event will be broadcast live on this page and on the newspaper’s YouTube channel.

Participating in the panel are Carlos Ayres Britto, professor at the Centro Universitário de Brasília and retired minister of the STF (Supreme Federal Court); Deborah Duprat, retired lawyer and deputy attorney general of the Republic; Fabio Kerche, doctor in political science, professor at the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Unirio) and author of “Virtue and Limits: Autonomy and Attributions of the Public Ministry in Brazil”; and Conrado Hübner Mendes, doctor in law and political science, professor of constitutional law at USP and columnist for Sheet.

The objective is to debate the responsibilities of the PGR (Attorney General’s Office) —which awaits President Lula’s definition of the new head— and the body’s transparency before society.

Guests will also answer questions about the body’s autonomy in relation to the Executive. The public can participate with questions and comments via WhatsApp, by calling (11) 99648-3478.

The mediation will be carried out by the reporter from Sheet Uirá Machado.
