The president of the CPI that investigates the invasions of private properties by the Landless Workers Movement (MST), deputy Lieutenant-Colonel Zucco (Republicanos-RS), canceled the meeting this Tuesday (26) that was going to discuss and vote on the final report of the work .
According to the parliamentarian’s office, the “work will be extended until next Thursday (28) to meet the regulatory deadline of two sessions due to the request to view the final report. On this occasion the final report will be discussed and voted on.”
The request for extension was forwarded to the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Arthur Lira (PP-AL).
The opinion of the rapporteur, deputy Ricardo Salles (PL-SP), calls for the indictment of 11 people, including advisors to deputy Valmir Assunção (PT-BA), accused of participating in several crimes in southern Bahia, and general Marco Edson Gonçalves Dias, according to Chamber Agency.
Salles intends to present a package with seven bills against the invasion of private properties – called “Zero Invasion” – presented by the Parliamentary Agricultural Front (FPA).
Among the proposals forwarded is the project that prohibits the granting of social benefits, agricultural credit or appointment to public positions for those who participate in invasions. Even the impediment to participate in programs related to Agrarian Reform.
One of the proposals also classifies violent acts against public and private properties as terrorism. It also allows police action without the need for a court order to retake invaded properties.
