Flamengo enters the field this Carnival Saturday (10) to face Volta Redonda in a delayed match of the 3rd round of the Guanabara Cup of the Carioca Championship. Rubro-Negro plays on the Maracanã stadium lawn, starting at 4pm (Brasília time), with the intention of taking second place in the standings.

For the confrontation with Volta Redonda, the biggest doubt is the use of Pedro or Gabriel Barbosa in command of the attack. After the 1-0 victory over Botafogo, achieved thanks to defender Léo Pereira’s eye for goal, coach Tite commented on the moment of striker Pedro, who has been questioned for his lack of goals.

For Volta Redonda, the match is an opportunity to score and continue dreaming of qualifying for the next phase of the competition. With eight points, Esquadrão de Aço can take 5th place in the classification in case of victory, leaving just one point behind Vasco, in 4th place.
