Community service

Fametro Clinics cover areas such as Speech Therapy, Physiotherapy, Nutrition, Psychology and Social Work

Manaus (AM) — The Fametro University Center School Clinics resume their crucial role in teaching and training future health professionals, with the start of the new 2014 academic semester. Turning their free service activities to the community, these clinics represent not only a space for practical learning for students, but also a valuable source of assistance for those who need it most.

Offering a diverse range of health services, Fametro Clinics cover areas such as Speech Therapy, Physiotherapy, Nutrition, Psychology and Social Services. Under the direct supervision of their teachers, students have the opportunity to apply the knowledge acquired in the classroom, ensuring a more complete training and preparing them for the challenges of professional practice.

The services are not restricted only to the institution’s internal community, but also extend to society in general, including low-income families and bodies with or without agreements with Fametro. Those interested in receiving care must make a prior appointment at the clinic reception, located at Av. Constantino Nery, n° 22, Chapada, or via email: [email protected].

For more information, you can contact us by telephone: (92) 3090-3019 and (92) 98646-1141. Opening hours are Monday to Friday, from 8am to 12pm and from 1pm to 5pm, and on Saturdays from 8am to 12pm.

Before undergoing the service itself, users undergo a screening carried out by Social Services. This step, as explained by the clinic coordinator, Maria Auxiliadora B. Ferreira, is crucial for identifying needs and appropriate referrals, following the criteria established by the clinics’ service policy.

In 2023, the clinics provided care to more than 3 thousand people, totaling more than 17 thousand visits. On average, more than 1,700 consultations were provided per month, with Physiotherapy and Psychology services being the most sought after, with more than 13 thousand consultations each.

With the resumption of these services, Fametro School Clinics reaffirm their commitment to the community, offering not only quality assistance, but also contributing significantly to the training of qualified professionals who are aware of their social role.
