The period to request exemption from the registration fee for Enem 2024 begins this Monday (15th). The deadline is April 26th.

Who has the right not to pay a fee?
- Candidates enrolled in the 3rd year of high school (this year 2024) in a public school
- Those who completed their entire secondary education in a public school or as a full scholarship holder in a private school
- People in situations of socioeconomic vulnerability with CadÚnico registration
The results of candidates who were granted fee exemption will be announced on May 13th. There is also an appeal phase, between May 13th and 17th.
How much is the Enem registration fee?
Inep, the body responsible for the exam, has not yet released other information about the 2024 edition, such as exam dates and registration fees. Last year, as has been the case since 2019, candidates without fee exemption paid R$85.
As in recent years, the race must take place on two consecutive Sundays. On the first day, candidates take the essay and language and human sciences tests. On the second day, the natural sciences and mathematics tests.
Justification for absence
The same period for requesting a fee exemption applies to presenting a justification for absence in the 2023 edition.
Of the 3.9 million registered for Enem 2023, 1.2 million did not take the exam. In other words, the abstention rate was 32%. The volume of absentees is considered high by the Ministry of Education and has remained at the same levels in recent years.
