Brazil maintained 100% success in the tournament that qualifies for the Paris Olympic Games

Caracas (VEN) – Endrick and John Kennedy guaranteed the second victory for the Brazilian Under-23 Team in the Pre-Olympic in Venezuela, on Friday night (26). The two strikers scored the goals in the 2-0 victory over Colombia in Caracas. The tournament qualifies two teams for the Paris Games and Brazil is the current two-time Olympic champion.

Next Monday (29), the Brazilian Under-23 team enters the field again. The team will face Ecuador, at 4pm (Manaus time), in Caracas, in the fourth round of the group stage. A victory could guarantee early classification for the decisive quadrangular.

With this Friday’s victory, the Seleção is the only one in the group with 100% success. On Monday (22), Amarelinha beat Bolivia, 1-0. With two matches in the competition, Brazil has 6 points. Ecuador, who have one game more, lead the group with 7 points.

The goals

In the 24th minute, Palmeiras striker Endrick stole the ball from the opposing defender and John Kennedy shot from outside the area. The Colombian goalkeeper hit and Endrick took advantage to open the scoring.

John Kennedy, Fluminense striker, was the scorer of the Seleção’s second goal. In the 37th minute of the second half, John Kennedy confirmed the victory by scoring the goal after receiving a pass from Gabriel Pec, who won the ball in the dispute with the opponent and played for Kennedy to finish.

After the match, coach Ramon Menezes valued the opposing team. The coach changed the team for the second clash in the Pre-Olympic. He played Khellven at right-back, as well as Marlon and Maurício in the middle. Bruno Gomes, Marquinhos and Guilherme Biro remained on the bench.
