The Federal District will have a FAB (Brazilian Air Force) field hospital to treat dengue cases.

The hospital will be opened in the region with the highest number of cases. Currently, Ceilândia and Sol Nascente/Pôr do Sol account for 40% of them. The equipment will have 60 beds within a single module, operating 24 hours a day.

The strategy for using the hospital, location and date of operation are under study.

Other initiatives were put into practice, such as tents to welcome dengue patients, actions to remove waste and rubble, and judicial authorization to enter abandoned properties, closed or refused by the owner.

Until January 27, 2024, the Federal District confirmed 30,305 cases of dengue — 29,492 indigenous. The others are from Goiás (757), Minas Gerais (12), Bahia (8) and São Paulo (6). The data is provisional.

In relation to cases contracted in the DF, compared to the same period in 2023, when 2,890 were registered, the increase is 920.5%.

The highest incidence of the disease is in women (976.3). They represent 55.1% of patients, according to the epidemiological bulletin. In the age group, the incidence is highest in the 20 to 29 age group (1092.2). This public represents 19.2% of those infected.

Ceilândia has the highest number of cases (7,069). Next are Sol Nascente/Pôr do Sol (1,827), Brazlândia (1,716), Taguatinga (1,703) and Samambaia (1,611).

As of January 29, six people had died in the Federal District — 24 deaths remain under investigation. In the same period last year there were no deaths.

Of the deaths confirmed by dengue, five were male and one female, who belonged to the age groups of 5 to 9 years, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49 and two from 70 to 79. One of the deaths had no comorbidity.
