As a way of encouraging Amapá football, the governor Clécio Luís signed a Development Agreement with the Amapá Football Federation (FAF), this Monday (29), allocating resources for competitions in 2024.

“The FAF organizes the entire production chain of Amapá football, which goes from Series A to Non-Professional. We are spending, throughout the year, R$3 million so that this happens all year round. It is a great support so that we can have all categories covered”said the governor Clecio.

The investment guarantees the holding of the Amapaense Championship, “Amapazão”, and support for the clubs that will represent the state in the Copa do Brasil. In addition, sports reporters will be receiving financial support to further stimulate coverage of the championships.

The president of the Federation, Roberto Góes, explains that this contribution is extremely important, as the Government has always been a good investor in sport. “I want to thank the State Government, which is a major sponsor of FAF competitions. This support represents 12 competitions during the year and we are happy because the government has always contributed”he said.

The promotion, highlighted for the second year in a row, will also cover other championships held by the FAF, such as Women’s, Non-Professional, Intermunicipal and youth categories, allowing the entity and teams to prepare for the events that will take place throughout the year.

One of the clubs that will be receiving financial support from the State Government is Trem Desportivo Clube, which will be representing Amapá in the Copa do Brasil. According to the president of Locomotiva, Marine Relief, This encourages teams to perform well in the competition.

“This is very important for us, as athletes, and we are grateful for this support, as it will enhance our football and competitions. This will mean that we can have a good championship and that we can hire people who can do a lot for our football. This improves payment, stay, this is very important, I want to thank the government”he said.
