Debate with economist attracts Suplicy to deputy for Novo – 05/30/2023 – Panel

A lecture this Monday (29) at the Legislative Assembly of São Paulo brought together figures as disparate as veteran state deputy Eduardo Suplicy (PT) and the only representative of Novo na Casa, Leonardo Siqueira.
The motto was a debate with economist Felipe Salto, from the Warren Rena brokerage and former state secretary of Finance, promoted by the PSDB-Cidadania federation. He spoke about topics such as tax reform and the direction of the country’s economy.
Salto stated that the state of São Paulo cannot be excluded from the reform discussion process and needs to have its own proposal. The current one, according to him, harms the state.
Marco Vinholi, president of the PSDB of the state of São Paulo, the Toucan leader in the Assembly, Vinicius Camarinha, and the mayor of Santo André, Paulo Serra (PSDB), among others, also participated.
It was the second event of its kind promoted by the PSDB-Cidadania federation, after a conversation with the former president of the Central Bank Arminio Fraga. The next one will be with the former governor of Espírito Santo Paulo Hartung.
