The Court of Sports Justice (TJD) of the Amapá Football Federation (FAF), confirmed, by four votes to one, the penalty of suspension of the affiliated Santos Futebol Clube from all competitions promoted by the entity in 2024. The dissenting vote was from the auditor Girlinay Brenda Santos de Paula when the score was already 4-0 due to the punishment. There is an appeal.

With the TJD’s decision, Santos is out of the professional football championship, which has already started, and its opponents in the competition will earn the points by WO, unless the club manages to reverse the result at the Superior Court of Sports Justice (STJD). The FAF’s punishment came after Santos appealed to the state court to remove the federation’s directors elected two years ago. The lower court granted an injunction for dismissal, but it was overturned in the Amapá Court of Justice (Tjap).

Netto Góesacting president of the FAF, said that Santos was suspended from all competitions promoted by the federation for appealing to the Judiciary without exhausting all resources in the sporting sphere, contrary to the rules of the entity and the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), affiliated to FIFA .

Appeal to the STJD

This Wednesday (21), the businessman Luciano Marba, director of Santos Futebol Clube, informed that the club will appeal to the Superior Court of Justice (STJD), and if you lose, you will go to court in a higher court. “I already knew that here at TJD I would never win, because I know how things work in Amapá and there is no way to defeat the system, the way is to appeal in the sporting sphere until the end and, if necessary, go to the Judiciary”, Marba said.
