Coritiba x Botafogo will be played behind closed doors

O Coritiba confirmed, this Wednesday morning (29), that the match against Botafogo, starting at 9:30 pm, at Couto Pereira, will be played behind closed doors. According to a statement released by the club, there is no time to sell tickets.

“This fact arises from the content of the complementary order issued by the STJD, which clarifies that the original decision allowing the partial release of the public must be complied with in harmony with the provisions of article 143 of the General Sports Law, which provides for the availability of tickets to fans at least 48 hours in advance”, highlights Coxa’s note.

Last Tuesday, the STJD had allowed the partial presence of Coritiba fans in this Wednesday’s match, against Botafogo, in Alto da Glória. The Court also authorized the partial presence of Cruzeiro fans in the match this Thursday (30), against Athletico, in Mineirão. As Raposa will only play on Thursday, the team can count on the support of its fans.

The trial between the two teams, because of the fight in Vila Capanema, in the match between Coritiba and Cruzeiro, for the 34th round, would take place this Monday (27), but was rescheduled for next week, due to an error in the process. Due to the postponement, the two clubs filed a request to allow fans to attend games as hosts.
