Coritiba will have a new goal option this season. The goalkeeper John Benassi20 years old, will be loaned by Railway until the end of 2024, with the option to purchase definitively. The information was released by journalist Marcos Chiochini, from Araraquara.

Benassi arrives this Wednesday (9) in Curitiba for exams and contract signing. The athlete was at the base of the team from the interior of São Paulo and is considered a promise.

With the arrival of the young player, Coxa must dispense with Luan Polli. The reserve goalkeeper performed poorly when he took over as a starter in the 2023 Brasileirão, after an injury to Gabriel, and was no longer used.

In the 2024 season, Alviverde must have Gabriel, Pedro Morisco and Benassi as options for the goal.

Benassi is Alviverde’s sixth reinforcement for 2024. The club has already announced striker Figueiredo, this Tuesday, midfielder Arilson, left-back Rodrigo Gelado, attacking midfielder Vini Paulista and midfielder Matheus Frizzo.
