Running since November 2013 in the documentary phases, now in January 2024, the CrossFitness project is in the selection process to choose the 80 participants who, in the second half of January, will begin their pedagogical activities. According to the project coordinator, Melque Lima, the idea arose to provide another leisure and occupation option for young people, the justification is also personal, in addition to other Profid projects.
“I found myself in the Crossfit modality and I have been a student at a Cross box in Santana for two years. It is a modality that has a high cost and not everyone is able to pay a monthly fee. Today the project is a reality in Santana”celebrated Melque.
The CrossFitness Extension project aims to promote and democratize sports and leisure practice, in the specific form of Crossfit, being aimed at young people at social risk. People who live in Santana (AP), are between 16 and 26 years old and have a socio-family per capita income of up to one and a half minimum wages can register.
Registration began this Monday (08) and continues until January 12th, free of charge. The interested party must go to Av. Castelo Branco, nº 740, Santana (AP), between the hours of 10am to 12pm and 6pm to 8pm, and register.
To register, the candidate must fill out the registration form, bring two kilos of non-perishable food and original and copies of ID (or other document with photo), CPF, updated proof of address and proof of income.
“We intend to encourage the sport, popularizing and training young people in the practice of Crossfit, making them responsible people and busy citizens, in the search for knowledge and taking care of their body”, concluded Melque.
80 places will be offered to form two immediate classes and reserve registration of 30% of the limit of places offered. Classes will take place in the municipality of Santana on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, at two times: 10am to 11am and 4pm to 5pm, with 40 students each.
The final result of the selection will be announced on January 17, 2024 and the inaugural class of the project will take place on the 19th, in the auditorium of the Dean of Extension and Community Actions at Unifap, located on the Marco Zero do Ecuador campus, in Macapá ( AP).
