Coritiba defender receives proposal from Portuguese club

Coritiba received an offer from Portimonense, from Portugal, for defender Thiago Dombroski. If the negotiation is closed, the 21-year-old athlete will be loaned to the Portuguese club.

In Coxa’s defense, Dombroski has great competition and competes for space with six other athletes: Reynaldo, Thalisson Gabriel and Maurício Antônio, as well as Jean Pedroso, João Pedro and Guilherme Aquinowho are competing in the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Jr.

The parties are still working out details. It is not yet known whether Portimonese would have a purchase option or a percentage in the event of a future negotiation, for example.

In the debut of the Paranaense Championship, the left-handed defender was left out of the list. The starters in defense were Thalisson and Maurício Antônio, who should gain more space with Guto Ferreira this season.

Last season, Dombroski was launched into the starting lineup by coach Antônio Carlos Zago and had a good run as a starter. However, he ended up making just 15 appearances in total during the season, seven as a starter.

In the middle of last year, the defender was negotiated to be sold to Club Brugge, from Belgium, but the deal ended up not happening. Piá do Couto, raised in the Xaxim neighborhood, in Curitiba, the athlete made his professional debut last year.
