Collor family dramas and fights will be podcast themes – 07/23/2023 – Mônica Bergamo

The family history of former president Fernando Collor de Mello and the tensions that contributed to his downfall will be the subject of the investigative podcast “Collor versus Collor”, an original Globoplay project that will be presented by journalist Évelin Argenta.

The documentary, which is produced by Rádio Novelo, will bring unpublished tapes with recordings made in the 1990s and new points of view on the fight between Collor and Pedro, his brother, who denounced him for corruption. An investigation by journalist Dora Kramer is the starting point of the podcast.

“It’s as if we were following in real time —although 30 years later— the unfolding of this family drama that changed the country’s recent history”, says Argenta. “Collor versus Collor” can be heard from next Tuesday (25).

LETTERS

Writer Itamar Vieira Júnior, columnist for Sheet and author of the bestseller “Torto Arado”, will grace the cover of the new GOL Smiles magazine. In an interview with the publication, he talks about literature and his most recent novel, “Salvar o Fogo”. “I say that I have faith in literature, because literature broadens our horizon, our world. Fiction comes in as a powerful weapon, because it gives us back the possibility of existing”, says Itamar.
