Cineclube de Arte honors works by independent filmmakers

Project holds collective exhibition with 13 films on display
Manaus (AM) – Cineteatro Guarany, located in the center of Manaus, will host this Saturday (14), at 6:30 pm, another session of the Cineclube de Arte project. Entry is free, and the session is rated for people over 12 years old.
On the occasion, 13 short films directed by Amazonian filmmakers who produce their art independently will be shown. The initiative aims to bring visibility to Amazonian cinema, valuing directors and enabling the general public to access these films completely free of charge.
For the organizer of the collective exhibition, Wander Luis, the Cineclube de Arte is an opportunity, both for the directors, the actors and the team that participates.
“Often we produce a film, but there is no space in the city to hold the screening, and invite the public to come and see it. The project helps a lot with dissemination and visibility”,
declared Wander, who is also an independent filmmaker and will have three of his films included in the exhibition.
The Cineclube de Arte is an initiative of the Government of Amazonas, through the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy, aiming to democratize access to culture through art and cinema.
