Five short films by Lucas Martins and Max Michel will be presented on the occasion

Manaus (AM) – The Art Cineclub of the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy begins the 2024 season with the exhibition “O Cinema De Lucas Martins e Max Michel”. The event takes place this Saturday (2), at 6:30 pm, at Cineteatro Guarany, located on Avenida Sete de Setembro, Centro, with free entry and an age rating of 14.

Filmmaker Max Michel brings to the exhibition two short films of his own: “2035” and “O Compromisso”, which was his first work. From the Lucas Martins collection, the films shown will be “À Beira do Gatilho”, “Noises” and “Um Estranho Sem Rosto”, bringing the genres of suspense and horror to the public.

“It is always a great pleasure to see our short films being shown to new audiences. Being able to see them on the big screen again is great. I say this for myself and for all local film makers, who have the opportunity to have their work recognized and exhibited at events such as the Cineclube”, commented Lucas Martins, about the experience of participating in the exhibition.

The Cineclube de Arte is an initiative of the Government of Amazonas, through the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy, with the aim of valuing cinema and Amazonian filmmakers, and ensuring that the population has easy access to cinema as a form of culture and entertainment.
