CBF recommends yellow card for anyone who complains during VAR review

The referees will inform the decisions from the edge of the field, something that has already happened in the FIFA Club World Cup. The information will come out in the sound systems of the stadiums and in the transmission.
Details of the new procedures are being communicated to clubs. The CBF prepared a video material and will have local instructors representing the president of the arbitration commission, Wilson Seneme. For the referees, the concepts are being reinforced during the pre-season, which started this week in Rio.

“Every time a referee comes to the review zone and in that trajectory he is pressured, he will stop and show yellow. If the same player goes back behind him, it is yellow and red. If he is in the review zone and there is someone disturbing him, will show a yellow card. He will have to say his decision. Before he speaks, if someone presses him, he will receive a yellow card. The referees are being very well guided in this regard. It is a mandatory instruction”, said Wilson Seneme.
“President Seneme instructed us and made the instructions together with clubs and players. We are part of football. The orientation is this, that we can make use of the VAR tool in a calm way. At the end of the process, what the referees want to legitimize the result”, said referee Bruno Arleu.
