The president of the CBF, Ednaldo Rodrigues, said this Wednesday (8) that he has “feet on the ground” in the search for the new coach of the Brazilian national team. The leader asked for calm and warned that he will respect the current contracts of possible candidates for the post of coach in Brazil.

The CBF representative made the comments during the draw for the first phase of the Copa do Brasil, in Rio de Janeiro. Speaking shortly, he indicated that he will not try to sign international weight. In recent months, several foreigners have been considered by the international press, such as Pep Guardiola, Carlo Ancelotti and Zinedine Zidane.
Guardiola has become a crowd favorite among the foreigners. But the salary request would be incompatible with what the CBF is used to paying the last coaches of the national team. Among the foreigners, the most quoted in recent weeks is Abel Ferreira, the Portuguese who commands Palmeiras and already has knowledge of Brazilian football, unlike the other international coaches already ventilated.
