Caxias and Grêmio start Gauchão decision
[ad_1]
Once again a team from the Interior arrives at Gaucho Championship final. O caxias tries to repeat the team commanded by Tite in 2000 and win its second state title in history. For that, the Grená team needs to overcome the favorite Guild. The first chapter of that decision will be this Saturday, at 4:30 pm, at Estádio Centenário. A full house is expected, with about 12,000 people in the stands.

On the edge of the pitch, the duel pits two technical strategists face to face. The experienced and victorious Renato Portaluppi is looking for his fourth Rio Grande do Sul title. He has already won in 2018, 2019 and 2020. The young Thiago Carvalho, aged just 34, is close to completing a year in charge of Caxias. Serra’s team picked him up after he took Aparecidense-GO to the 3rd national division.

On the Gremista side, Portaluppi has important returns after going through Ypiranga, in the semifinal, with a team full of embezzlements. The doubt for the first game of the finals is Kannemann. After training on Monday with his teammates, the Argentine was out of activities for the rest of the week due to physical exhaustion. As the last jobs are behind closed doors, the defender can appear among the starters. If he doesn’t play, Bruno Uvini will continue forming a duo alongside Bruno Alves.
In midfield, Villasanti and Carballo returned from their national teams, have already trained with the squad and will go to the field this Saturday. Cristaldo, who played a few minutes in the final stage in the penalty shootout victory over Canarinho, should also play. A likely Grêmio lineup for the Centenário has Adriel; João Pedro, Bruno Alves, Bruno Uvini (Kannemann) and Reinaldo; Villasanti, Carballo, Bitello, Cristaldo and Vina; Suarez.
The home team will have a total of six absences for the first leg. After the widespread fight in Beira-Rio, defensive midfielders Vini Guedes and Marciel were expelled and are suspended. Three other athletes belong to Grêmio and cannot play for contractual reasons: defensive midfielder Pedro Cuiabá and forwards Wesley Pomba and Ronald. Striker Bustamante, out of plans and with a contract until the end of Gauchão, anticipated his departure.
That way, Thiago Carvalho doesn’t have much mystery to do to climb the team within the available options. Caxias must go to the field with Bruno Ferreira; Marcelo, Dirceu, Fernando and Dudu Mandai; Moacir, Marlon and Peninha; Diego Rosa, Eron and Jean Dias.
In addition to the expectation of the Gauchão finals, the board of Grêmio is close to confirming the departure of Thiago Santos. The defensive midfielder, rejected by the fans, could stop at Fernando Diniz’s Fluminense. Including, the coach would have already talked to the player by phone. With the idea of reducing the payroll, the board is not making any effort to stop the athlete from leaving. The deal is treated as forwarded and Thiago Santos must sign with the cariocas by 2024.
