Carneiro Neto: No more violent fans

The Água Verde neighborhood, where the Ligga Arena is located, before and after the game between Athletico and Santos, was the stage for regrettable scenes on the part of such organized fans. Many years ago, the Ministry of Sports announced that it intended to coordinate bodies linked to public security in the States, to put into practice the provisions of the Fan Statute.

Of course, the proposal did not materialize, like almost everything in this country, governed by politicians who were mostly unprepared or irresponsible. In fact, our democracy seems increasingly hysterical, as it has escaped the control of the most intelligent men and has become a mere argument between people with no intellectual qualifications for the positions they occupy.

The only objective of political practice is to keep the people alarmed and, therefore, waiting to be led by some emerging leader. Cultured, educated and prepared people want distance from the current representative political practice, which always elects the worst in society.

Thus, all measures or initiatives to put an end to the aggressiveness of football fans remained only on paper or with good intentions. A chain of negligence can be observed, which paralyzes the police, the Public Ministry and the Justice system. This has left criminals who dress up in organized fan club shirts unpunished, carrying out more acts of barbarity outside than inside the stadiums, causing all sorts of damage.

The authorities are indignant, but the reality is that the serious omission of the CBF directors, the state federations and, above all, the clubs maintains this tiring routine. No more violent fans.

The first and simplest step would be to implement single fans in the stadiums. For those who lack education and civility, there is no point in being nice and rubbing the towel over their little heads.
