Referee from Amazonas is selected for the Brasileirão Series A match

A member of the CBF team, he will be the fourth referee in the duel between Coritiba and Corinthians, in the last round of the competition

In constant evolution, arbitration in the state of Amazonas will be represented in the elite of Brazilian football. Next Wednesday (6), the referee from Amazonas, Ivan da Silva Guimarães Júnior, aged 32, will act as fourth referee in the match between Coritiba and Corinthians, valid for the 38th and final round of Series A of the Brazilian Championship.

The president of the Amazon Football Federation (FAF), Ednailson Rozenha, congratulated Ivan Júnior on his achievement and highlighted the development not only of the central team, but of all arbitration in Amazonas, in the first year of the “A Floresta is the current ball” administration.

“This is another example of how Amazonian football, as a whole, has changed its level. Ivan is a highly competent professional, who has grown and evolved, and now the CBF arbitration committee provides this more than deserved opportunity for him to make his debut in the country’s main championship. This achievement comes to brighten the incredible season of Amazonian arbitration. I would like to congratulate Ivan on this achievement. I’m sure this will be the first of many matches in the elite of Brazilian football”,

A member of the arbitration panel of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), Ivan Júnior will make his debut in the national first division. Motivated to once again represent the state in the best way possible, the referee commented on the opportunity received and projected new achievements for his career.

“Firstly, I thank God for the opportunity. If we are there, it is simply because of our work, which has been done very successfully, every time we go out to represent the state. We dedicate ourselves a lot, we train all year round, we watch videos, we participate in collective training, we watch games, to always perform our role at a high level, whether acting on the whistle refereeing or as fourth referee, as I will perform in this game”,

he stated.

The referee does not hide his joy at reaching the first division of Brazilian football and admits that he is making a dream come true: “I am overflowing with happiness. Since I started refereeing, my goal has always been to reach Serie A and, with God’s grace, I am managing to make my dream come true. Today, as the fourth referee, but I am sure that later, in the very near future, I will be officiating a Series A of the Brazilian Championship”, declared the Amazonian.

In 2023, Ivan played in matches in the Copa Verde, Copa do Brasil and Series B, C and D of the Brasileirão. Among all the competitions organized by the CBF, the referee was present in 18 matches throughout the current season. In state football, the Amazonian refereed matches in practically all competitions, both professional and grassroots.
