Councilor Carlos Bolsonaro (Republicanos-RJ) arrived this Tuesday morning (30) at the Regional Superintendence of the Federal Police (PF) in Rio de Janeiro to testify. In a post on his profile on the social network X (formerly Twitter), the parliamentarian wrote that the reason for the statement is a post he made last year.
The councilor is also the target of the PF’s Close Surveillance Operation, which investigates the misuse of the Brazilian Intelligence Agency (Abin) to illegally monitor some people.
The PF is investigating whether the councilor, son of former president Jair Bolsonaro, used advisors to illegally request information from Abin.
On Monday (29), the PF executed warrants at addresses linked to Carlos Bolsonaro and others under investigation.
The councilor arrived at the superintendency, located in the port area of Rio, around 10 am, and did not speak to the press.
