Bullet bench dominates commission and will give Lula a problem – 03/16/2023 – Panel

Deputies from the Public Security Parliamentary Front, known as the bullet bench, obtained a comfortable majority in the Chamber’s Committee on Public Security and Combating Organized Crime.

Of the 34 members, 27 are military or police officers. Among the remaining 7, Albuquerque (Republicanos-RR) is in opposition. In addition, Carlos Sampaio (PSDB-SP) is from the Public Ministry and Dr. Francisco (PT-PI) is a doctor, but he has already served as an expert for the Civil Police of Piauí.

Dominating the collegiate, the bullet bench promises to give a headache to the government of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT). According to Deputy Alberto Fraga (PL-DF), a member of the group, there are already five requests for summoning the Minister of Justice, Flávio Dino, being articulated.

The chairmanship of the commission was held by Bolsonarist deputy Ubiratan Sanderson (PL-RS). On social media, he thanked deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP) for his nomination for the post.

With 26 days in office, the parliamentarian has already filed a request for the impeachment of Lula for a crime of responsibility for having stated that the impeachment of former president Dilma Rousseff (PT) was a coup.
