In recognition of the historic milestone, Princesa do Solimões will pay tribute to Eric, before the duel against Unidos do Alvorada

Manacapuru (AM) – Defender Eric will reach the milestone of 100 games with the Princesa do Solimões shirt, this Saturday (30), at the Gilberto Mestrinho stadium, Gilbertão, in Manacapuru (80 kilometers from Manaus). Tubarão do Norte’s commitment – ​​and a special one for the player – will be against Unidos do Alvorada, in the quarter-finals of the return of the 2024 Amazonense Championship, at 7:30 pm.

A native of Rio Branco, Eric Rodrigo Elias da Rocha took his first steps in professional football at Juventus-AC, in 2011. Two years later, at Rio Branco-AC, the defender debuted and had his first run as a professional. In his homeland, the player also played for Galvez-AC and Atlético-AC.

In 2015, the stories of Princess of Solimões and Eric crossed paths for the first time. And the defender’s first season with the red shirt was full of more lows than highs. However, it was from these difficult beginnings that the Tubarão do Norte idol began to write his long history for the club.

“I didn’t imagine reaching 100 games wearing the Princesa do Solimões shirt, especially because in my first spell, I only played two games. I suffered a serious knee injury and didn’t take the field for a year. But over the years and new experiences, Princesa is a club that I learned to love. My feeling is one of great happiness for being able to reach this milestone of 100 games with this shirt that is so traditional for Amazonian football”,

declared Eric.

At the club since 2020, Eric is in his third spell at Princesa do Solimões. During his eight seasons and 99 games for Tubarão, the captain scored six times, became the third player with the most appearances for the Manacapuru team and accumulated some memorable moments for the club he defended the most in his career.

“We can highlight Princesa’s campaigns in the 2021 and 2022 Amazonense Championship. They were two very good moments for the club. In 2021, with a completely home team and a lot of willpower, we managed to reach the championship semi-finals undefeated. And soon after, in 2022, we managed to reach the final. And that year was very remarkable, because we managed to put Princesa back on the national stage. Now, my main goal is to be champion with Princesa. We need to be champion with this shirt”,

scored the defender.

During this long period wearing the Princesa do Solimões shirt, Eric found his family in Manacapuru. Today, the captain is married, has two children and has settled in Terra da Ciranda.
