Athlete from Amazonas wins eight medals in the Brazilian Children’s Swimming Championship

Marcela won eight medals during the competition, six gold and two silver.

Manaus (AM) – Shining inside and outside of Amazonas, athlete Adrielle Marcela won, last week, eight medals in the Maurício Becken Trophy, the Brazilian Children’s Swimming Championship, which took place in Recife.

Out of 14 competitions, Adrielle won medals in eight of them. The athlete from Amazonas achieved first place in the 200, 400, 800 and 1,500 meter freestyle events, and in the 200 and 400 meter medley, in addition to being silver in the 200 butterfly and 200 backstroke.

“Today I am leaving here with six gold medals and two silver medals. I want to thank everyone who supported me, my coaches, Cláudio Nobre, Juninho, Robinho [Lucas Nascimento], Flademir, Neto Nobre, among others. Also to my teammates, who always supported and encouraged me,”

said the athlete.

The athlete also took the Efficiency trophy, intended for the athlete who scored the most, and just barely had the best technical index (2nd) with the 200 freestyle time. Marcela was also National Champion for the women’s team and vice-general with Flamengo, the club she officially competes for.

Adrielle Marcela is an athlete at Aquática Nobre, a swimming school located in the capital of Amazonas.
