Manaus (AM) — The sovereign of the gentle art. In another weekend of glory on the mats, the Nabil team won the 11th Amazonense Jiu-Jitsu Pro Championship. The event involved almost 2 thousand athletes from the capital and interior of the state at the Arena Amadeu Teixeira, in Manaus, on Saturday and Sunday , April 6th and 7th.

In the two days of competition held by the Amazonian Federation of Professional Jiu-Jitsu (FAJJPRO), Nabil scored a total of 458 points and climbed to the top of the team podium. The Aníbal teams also stood out in the Amazonense Pro, runner-up with 378 points, followed by the Ivo Neto/Projeto Sport na Periferia team, third place with 335 points.

The competition also saw good participation from Clube Pina, fourth place with 266 points. Fifth place, with 263 points, went to the Carlos Holanda team. FAJJPRO’s Amazonense paid out almost R$50,000 in prizes for the best athletes and gyms.
